One available engine for the 2018 Ford F-150 is a new 3.3-liter V6 that manufactures 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. That is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Then there's an available turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that makes 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, and a 5.0-liter V8 that will get you 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. But we're not done yet: there's also an optional turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that will get you up to 450 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, but it is also available with 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

2018 Chevrolet Silverado Power & Handling

The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado's standard engine is a 4.3-liter V6 that manufactures 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. It is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, like the Ford F-150's standard engine. There is an available 5.3-liter V8 engine that puts out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. It is available as either a six- or eight-speed automatic transmission. An available Z71 package has recovery hooks, underbody shields, a heavy-duty air cleaner, hill descent control and special shock absorbers. The Silverado does not offer a diesel engine; if you are seeking that, then pick something other the Silverado.

2018 Ford F-150 Features & Design

The 2018 Ford F-150 is available in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. There are three cab styles--regular, SuperCab (extended) and SuperCrew (crew cab)--available. The base XL includes pre-wired trailer connections, 17-inch steel wheels, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 4.2-inch central display screen, a four-speaker radio and an auxiliary jack.
